MIRELA DZIEDZIECH I was born in 1970 in Grudziądz. I have been painting since 1995, initially under the supervision of the Grudziądz-based painter Józef Mrotek, and then the art historian Grzegorz Sprusik. I take part in exhibitions and all kinds of open-air workshops and artistic reviews of disabled people. I specialize in landscapes, but I also don’t shy away from still life. I am also fascinated by faces, but due to manual difficulties I gave up painting portraits, I am trying to record them in digital photography. It has recently become my new passion.
I took part in many group exhibitions, including: the International Biennial of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1998 and 2000. and several times in the National Review of Artistic Creativity of the Disabled in Grudziądz, where I’ve got in 1999 – a distinction, 2003 – 3rd prize, 2008. and 2010 – 1st prize, in 2011 – 2nd prize. Group exhibitions in which I participated took place in Warsaw, Kluczbork, Ustka, Pułtusk, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Kałków-Godów, Bydgoszcz, Ciechocinek and Bielsko-Biała, and in 2012 and 2016 I had individual exhibitions in Grudziądz.
